BUCKLE
UP!
YOUR JOBS
ARE GOING TO VANISH IN THIN AIR!
India is looking at a lock-down that will last a few
more weeks and an economic burn that will last for years to come.
The day COVID – 19 hit the Indian soil,
the country was doomed. The Indian Economy has been on the edge of depression
for about 3 years. And COVID 19 has managed to give it a good old push down an
endless spiraling pit.
GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT
The uncertainty in the treatment of
this Novel Coronavirus and the locally focused battle of 210 countries is bound
to reset the global economy and how.
All the developed and growing
countries will spend the coming decade tacking the domestic unemployment
created by COVID-19. Thereby, making it a part of their policy to hire local
talents and eradicating outsourcing of services completely from the equation. Most
developed countries will chase the domestic sufficiency thereby focusing their
resources on indigenous businesses and manufacturing.
All those working for International
Corporates be prepared to wish those highly paid jobs a teary goodbye.
DOMESTIC EMPLOYMENT
One of the worst things about the
Indian Businesses is the cutthroat profit margins that they operate in. Because
of fierce competition in every single industry in India, the margins in
majority of the businesses have been very low for several years now.
Traditionally Indian Businesses (majorly MSMEs) drown their margins in order to
keep the cash flowing in the business. This directly results in very low or
negligible levels of reserves & surplus with the entrepreneurs, thereby
making it impossible for them to pay salaries beyond a month’s time.
With the overall slowdown almost half
of the MSMEs, Start-ups, struggling businesses are going to be wiped out from
the face of the earth with only negative capital (loans) left with the
entrepreneurs. And there is not a thing that government can do for them.
Prepare yourself to be home for a
good while if you are engaged with any of these “to be defunct” businesses.
Pretty sure that post COVID-19 era,
the government jobs that were laughed upon once are now going to look much more
lucrative than those high-flying corporate jobs.
SAVING THOUGHT
IT IS TIME TO GET BACK TO BASICS
One thing that this lockdown has
taught is that humans really don’t need all the extravaganza to survive.
Monthly groceries and vegetables won’t cost you much for healthy and reliable
home cooked meals, alcohol is cheaper to drink at home, online workouts are
better than the expensive gym memberships, unnecessary roaming around in the
vehicles will only cost you for fuel, mopping your floor isn’t that bad tbh.
Though one can live without cleaning those clogged up sinks.
Everyone needs to make all this the
new reality even after the country opens. Living way within your means is the
only sensible way forward for a few years to come.
Save up people and brace for impact!
